Treatment of osteoporosis commonly involves drugs that inhibit bone resorption. These include bisphosphonates, estrogens, selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMS) and calcitonin.

Osteomark NTx can measure response to treatment in as little as 3-6 months after starting therapy.
